August was a busy month but thanks to the 2018 7th Annual International Winefest, it was time to unwind. On the second last weekend of the month came the Golden Nugget Atlantic City Winefest, where there was so much fun and adventure to be had in the world’s best collection of wines and cuisine.
If you love the Spanish and Portuguese cuisines, then there was plenty in stock for you. Besides the two cuisines, we also had several other gastronomies. So whether you are just a food junkie or an oenophile like me, this was an event you shouldn’t have missed.
To keep you in the loop, this year’s edition of Winefest was a two-day affair, on August 26th and 27th. On the first day, different cuisines were showcased, together with their complementary wines. This was from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. On the second day, it was a purely wine affair with over 100 different bottles from different cellars available for tasting from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
I have been ever wishing to attend such wine fairs, and this year I finally had the chance. I must say it was a tantalizing experience and I would go again and again. If you have ever wanted to taste the different kinds of wines from different parts of the world, then these are events you shouldn’t be missing. For a fixed amount, you get to taste all the wines on the menu. That’s the catch; you don’t have to spend on every bottle to know how the different cellars craft their wine.
This is not the first event of its kind happening. Many other food and wine festivals and events are coming up. Keep it right here to get updates on the latest food and wine tasting fairs as well as all other matters cuisine!
